Board Member
Ellie Baker joined Donald Simpson Centre at the beginning of 2024.
She has lived in the Redlands since 2001 and has seen an explosion of people moving to our city.
Ellie retired in October 2023 and has attended DSC for various activities including the DSC theatre group and the DSC guitar group.
Ellie had several career changes including nursing, retail, in which she held various management positions, inclusive of but not limited to Workplace Health and Safety, Foodsafe, Dairy & Freezer Manager, Bakery, Cash Office and Back Dock Receiver.
The last seven years of her working life were spent in administration supporting a financial planner.
Ellie and her late husband were also involved in the entertainment industry providing entertainment in pubs, clubs and private functions.
Ellie is enjoying retirement and is hoping to assist others find fulfilment and friendship at the Donald Simpson Centre.

The Centre has many facets and we attempt to manage and maintain a smooth operation for our members. We probably make mistakes but none of the volunteers takes home anything but satisfaction in making a contribution to our community.
